Roses Memeory Lane, Sweet Avalanche, Upper Secret & Bubbles

I love the spray rose bubbles - it makes me think of Adsolutely Fabulous with Jane Horrocks - could you ever image Bubbles as a wedding planner.

The flowers are for a photo shoot at a smart hotel.

The new lense has arrived for the Nikon so I have been photographing lots of flowers - Matthew is beginning to tire of me asking him to make pretty things for me to snap - can't think why.

Ioanna and Panayiotis' wedding at Goodwood House was beautiful.

The vine leaves in the table displays gave the arrangements just a touch of home.

Just Picked From The Garden

Oh my, what a week it has been.  On Monday morning when I was catching up with the Archers Omnibus, what warning did the BBC give us regarding having tissues on standby.  There I was calculator in hand finishing last weeks accounts, when the phone call from Jolene to Fallon with the news that Sid had died!!  I hadn't put water proof mascara on that morning, so you can make up the rest - panda eyes and red nose - its not a good look.

One of our customers asked for a basket of garden rose, so between our gardens and some lovely Majolica roses, Darren created this darling little arrangements.  I would be very happy to have this on the kitchen table.

Matthew's garden is one of twenty that is being open tomorrow for the Secret Gardens of Petworth, it's a wonderful afternoon of wondering around many of our customers beautiful court yards and walled gardens.  So if you are in the area, pop along and have an afternoon tea in the square.

It rained today.....

I know the gardens need the rain, but please, next time not on a Saturday when we have lovely bride's getting married.  Tamsyn carried a lovely bunch of Majolica roses, astrantia and the last of my garden grown lily of the valley, finished off with herbs from Matthew's allotment.  It had the most wonderful aroma. 

 Bridal bouquet modeled by Ellen.  This is as close as Ellen wants to carrying a bouquet!

Matthew mixed purple and lilac sweet peas, flowering herbs and veronica to match the bridesmaid's dress.  Once the flowers were delivered it was onto the marquee to  decorate the cake.

 

I do hope it stops raining soon.  I am thinking of all the lovely shoes that will be soggy by the time the guest's run from the church to the marquee - Hunter wellies are all well and good, but they don't quiet go with floaty summer frocks. 

It's back to paper work now - planning next weekends weddings....
